Our impending move to Missisippi has made me a bit nostalgic. My aunt Carrie's blog gave me the idea to have friends/family share some memories.
Here are the rules.
1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you... either on your blog, in my comment box, or I will email you back!
3. If the memory happens to involve my husband, please include him!
4. If you can't say something nice, don't say nothin' at all ☺Okay, let's see what you've got!

Taping our faces up til we looked like burn victims! My kids love that picture... but Mike is somewhat disturbed when he sees it! Aaaahhhh, good times!!!
mel-belle..... "Mel-a-nie and Ash-a-ley, Mel-a-nie, Ash-a-ley, Mel-a-nie and Ash-a-ley they are a happy fam-i-ly. They're a happy family oh yes they are. I love Ash-a-ley and she loves me." "Who raised you?" Thanks Mel. I'm so blessed to have you for an older sister.
KaLisi--that's the first memory that comes to mind for me too! Maybe because it's so visual--and because we have an 8X10 photo of it. The other day I was remembering when we went to a cabin at Island Park in Idaho with Tree and Marcus. I got sick and went upstairs to sleep. You and Brooke came to check on me and then had to try to keep the boys from coming upstairs for their own protection. Remember? I won't go into too many details...
Ash-that's a good one. Too bad you didn't include a sound file so that everyone could hear my masterpiece composition. I'm remembering your curly permed stick-to-your-head hairdo when you were little. Mom must have copied that style from Dad's earlier days. My most recent memory is those awesome fireworks on the 4th. I don't think I'll ever see a display like that again. At least until they change the law! Thanks for entertaining us!
Oh, by the way, KaLisi... You just tell Mike that he should not be disturbed/surprised at the tape activity. That started way before we met you--back to our freshman year when we met Mike. He should have already been used to our crazy stunts.
sadly, I have very few memories, I've been trying to come up with something- dinner at Brent and Nancy's, Thanksgiving at your in-laws, maybe going to St. George to see Corrine... All very nice, but only enough to make me sorrier you guys are moving farther away for (at least) three years. and PS the whole "pajamas instead of nightgown" thing got me too. who knew?
Cheekers!!!!
That's the first thought I had pop in my head. Your most recent friends won't know that you were the chubbiest little girl with huge, pinchable cheeks. I've known you since the day you were born so memories are abundant.
I love how ticklish you have always been; someone just has to make the motion and you curl up with anxiety. I won't bring in any details to what you did in the front yard fountain - just you and my little secret. You were my special soloist when the grandchildren sang "Where is Heaven". You were an amazing pianist; actually, you do everything well. You were everyone's favorite babysitter - although I never had the opportunity since my kids didn't come along until you were miss adult. And my most fun memory is going to New York with you - that is something I'll always treasure - getting to go on one of Melanie's great adventures. By the way, I need to talk to you about the little talk we girls had in the hotel room and how all of you young things were laughing at my inquiry - I just studied a diagram of that topic and found out that I WAS RIGHT! HA! Let's talk.
Anyways - I love you and miss you. But who knows, it seems like I see Brooke more, now that she lives in Ohio.
Kirsten,
My favorite memory was visiting your house in Arizona with the Tuckers. Your kids were so excited to have visitors. The two oldest took me upstairs and gave me a tour of the house. Then they turned on their "Scripture Power" song full blast, and we all sang together at the top of our lungs.
